Woodland path

A peaceful pathway through woodland leading to natural bathing pools surrounded by trees.

Wildflowers

Varying through the year, there are often lots of different flowers along the path. Challenge yourself to spot (don't pick — instead, maybe take a photograph) at least 4 different flowers during your walk. Some are big, some are small, some are brightly coloured. These all attract different kinds of insects — different insects have different shaped mouthparts, and so certain flowers are better for long-tongued butterflies than short-tongued bees, for example.

Find out more about this: Flower shape identification guide (RHS Gardening) — and see if you can decide what pollinator might be best suited to the flowers that you found.
