The ideal place to have a swim, catch up with friends, welcome a new day with sunrise yoga or just sit and enjoy tasty food and drink. La Vallette is a place for you. The cafe and facilities are open pretty much all year — with just a few days off here and there — and there’s always a warm welcome.

Open after the café closes during busy periods. Serving hot and cold drinks, ice creams and snacks.

From the youngest mer-mates paddling in armbands and rubber rings, to friends enjoying a bob, some gossip and a giggle in the Pools, and even experienced old sea donkeys heading out to distant rocks and coves, you’ll find La Vallette is the ideal place to be.
All you could want after an invigorating dip in the Pools, a stroll atop the cliff paths, or a cycle around the coast roads: hot drinks, fresh bacon baps, tasty rolls, home-made soups and delicious cakes.
Loads of space for all swimmers, with warm showers, lockers and plenty of hooks for your changing robes, dry bags and changing mats.
Sunrise yoga, farmers’ markets, water-safety courses, art groups, community projects — we have something for just about everyone, even if you’re just looking for a perfect place to sit, chat and make new friends.
Warm, spacious and with stunning views, the café and the Swallow Pavilion on the top floor can be booked as venues for your event. We’ve hosted birthday parties, yoga sessions, board meetings, farmers’ markets, craft shows, baby-naming-ceremonies and wedding ceremonies. Want to know more or book the room?
I’m a regular swimmer and user of the cafe, it has done wonders for my mental and physical health. No other facility compares to the bathing pools.
